WHAT WE OFFER

At 240 Project art is facilitated all day, every day, with materials provided and trained staff available to offer advice and tips, with a focussed drawing class once a week.

Around this we offer a varied timetable of creative and wellbeing activities.

240 Project is open 10.30-3 Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.

MONDAY

11.00

CRANIO-SACRAL THERAPY (with Sally)

A typical CST session lasts from 45-60 minutes, and takes place in a quiet, private setting (AKA the room downstairs). CST is performed with the client fully clothed and lying on a comfortable massage table. Using a light touch, the therapist evaluates the body for imbalances.

NUTRITION (with Lisa)

What are you putting in your body? What should you be? Why is there broccoli growing in your ears? Nutritionist Lisa will answer questions on diet and wellbeing, and offer advice for harvesting the broccoli.

14.00

READING GROUP (with Simon)

Poems and short stories read and discussed. Why did Gregor Samsa wake up a giant cockroach? Was it a bad diet? Is it a metaphor? If so, what the hell for?

15.00

YOGA

Bend. Stretch. Breathe. Touch your toes. Or shins. Or knees. Whatever you’re able. Yoga for all levels and abilities.

TUESDAY

Wellbeing trip

Available to project members. Parks, galleries, museums, ten pin bowling, wellbeing sessions: the trips have it all (on different days).

WEDNESDAY

11.00

PORTRAITURE AND DRAWING (with Catrin)

Reknowned local artist Catrin Treadwell leads a portraiture and drawing session, guiding members through the art of life drawing. Catrin’s steady hand and years of experience will lead you through the shapes, proportions and techniques to bring your lines to a lifelike resemblance.

14.00

MUSIC (with Phil & Frank)

Classic songs belted out with aplomb. But will they stay in time? The two o’clock start is all we can be sure of.

THURSDAY

14.00

CREATIVE WRITING (with Simon)

Fun, inclusive writing exercises to encourage creativity and confidence. I used the session to write these descriptions, and truly, they were the best of times, and they were the worst of times.
